Certificate in Pediatric Osteopathy 56 hrs. when attending entire Workshop Series

Important Pre-Requisites:

Previous experience in the Biomechanical Model of Cranial Osteopathy (CranioSacral or Biodynamic is not suffcient) is required in order to participate in any of the Pediatric Osteopathy courses. If you do not have minimum 50 classroom hours training in classical Biomechanical Cranial Osteopathy, you must simultaneously enroll in our online course Introduction to the Fundamentals of Cranial Osteopathy preparatory course. Click here. Both courses must be successfully completed in order to achieve Certification in Pediatric Osteopathy with the ICEO.

Health Practitioners working with NewBorns or Osteopathy students should contact us by email at [email protected] to inquire if they are eligible to participate. Please provide your resume or details including your studies in Osteopathy (school name, number of years, number of hours training in Cranial Osteopathy, ect.) All Practitioners interested in participating in this series must be interviewed by phone by the Educational Director to assess for professional and personal maturity, and to confirm your credentials and education.

What you need to know about this series


Practitioners can enroll in the entire series of live Workshops or enroll in individual Workshops.


Students can receipt for CEU/CDP and tax purposes.


Handouts are provided for each class containing detailed explanations and treatment protocols for each condition taught.


Live demonstrations by the Instructor on newborn models will be offered during the live Workshop portion and when models are available. All students are responsible for recruiting models when participating in the group practice Workshops. If you have a volunteer newborn and Birthmother to propose as a model for a specific Workshop subject, please contact us at [email protected]


Group practice sessions on anatomically correct dolls of various "ages". Participants must purchase and bring a doll to each Workshop to practice upon. Please see the video above for an example of the kind of practice doll to purchase.

Certification Requirements:

Participants who are enrolled in the entire course series are eligible for Certification if they complete all scheduled courses, including both VideoConferences and In-Person Workshops or submit practice videos.

Participants can be absent from no more than two VideoConferences in order to achieve Certification.

Students can access to the recording after the class takes place.

Students are expected to take responsibility for their learning experience.

Students who participate in a limited number of inidivdual classes are eligible for a Receipt that they can submit to their association for CPDs/CEUs. We do not award Certificates of Completion for individual classes.

New convenient Blended Multi-Modality Learning Format

What you get:


Each weekly live video class covers a Theory Module in the series with Instructor and Pediatric Osteopath Maureen Maher. There are eight online modules in total.


You receive a very complete and detailed handouts prior to the live Video class for each module that contain detailed protocols for every condition.


You are also given access to our online learning platform where you can view our training and demonstration videos for each module.


Participate in three days of In-Person Workshops where you will have the opportunity to engage in group practice and watch live demonstrations (when available) or submit videos recordings of your live practice sessions to qualify for the practice portion of your Accreditation if In-Person meetings are not possible. A minimum of eight confirmed Participants are required.


Certification in Pediatric Osteopathy for 56 hours with the Center for Continuing Education of Osteopathy, recognized by many associations in Canada and worldwide for CPDs/CEUs

The ICEO incurs tremendous cost in organizing this Program and as a result does not issue refunds or deferred enrollment . We also reserve the right to expel any student who becomes disruptive or disrespectful during the program .

New Blended Multi-Modality Learning Format

Each Class includes a live 2 hr Video Conference class with the Instructor. There are eight online classes in total, two per month, 16 hrs total, with two practice days mid way and two at end of series.

Students are provided with the class handouts prior to the live Video Conference

Students are also given access to our online learning platform where they can view our training and demonstration videos containing complete protocols for each condition. 1.5 hrs each 12 hrs total

In-Person Workshops where students will have the opportunity to engage in group practice and watch live demonstrations (when available). four days in total 28 hrs.

Students who are not able to participate in the schedule Video Conferences or missed past conferences can request access to the recording and must submit a complete homework assignment.

We believe that this new learning format is not only more convenient, but allows students an opportunity to review the course material multiple times in more than one format. It is in fact a great improvement over our previous format of one day workshops only.
